We developed the Red Blend as a way to deal with barrels that wouldn’t fit into our other wines. I would buy small amounts of Merlot and Malbec and other varietals to use for blending and then have left over wine with no home. It was such a success that we now buy fruit specifically for the blend and produce over a 1000 cases annually. It has always been a 60/40 Syrah-Merlot based blend with varying amounts of other varieties. Our current blend (#6) is 48% Syrah 41% Merlot 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Malbec
On occasion, we run out of stock on a particular vintage and will fill your order with the same item, but of a different vintage. If you do not want to allow a vintage change, please let us know in the message box in your Shopping Cart.
