Batar is one of the small handful of truly distinctive whites being made in Tuscany. This lush, full-bodied wine reveals ripe peaches, cantaloupe, jasmine, honey, spices and toasted oak on a soft-textured, medium-bodied frame. Still quite primary today, it will acquire further nuance and put on weight with further bottle age.
