Principal - Calcário is a prestigious, terroir-driven project from Colinas do Douro (often associated with the IDEALDRINKS group) located in the Bairrada region of Portugal. The name "Calcário" refers specifically to the limestone soils of the vineyards, which impart a distinct minerality, high acidity, and "chalky" texture to the wine—much like the great wines of Burgundy or Champagne.
