Fruit for the Morandé Pionero Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva is sourced from select vineyards in the Maule Valley. Made in a youthful style the majority of the wine is held in stainless steel tanks, with just 25% of the wine aged in fourth- and fifth-use oak barrels for 6 months prior to bottling.
The final wine displays classic Cabernet aromas of black fruits and blueberries, plus red fruits such as cherries and raspberries complemented by sweet notes of vanilla and fresh tobacco. The palate is fruity with dark chocolate and coffee, good structure, medium body and a pleasing finish.
