Champagne runs through the core of the Philiponnat family, who has grown grapes from the region's soil for almost five hundred years. Having once been the supplier of wine to the court of Louis XIV, today, the family uses their vineyard for more humble blends. The Royale Réserve is one of the many fruits ofthe vintner's latest offering. By blending first press juice of Grand and Premier Crus grapes with barrel-aged vintage wines, this brut rosé creates an intensely fresh blend with cherry, strawberry, and grapefruit notes on the nose.
