A blend of 85% Malbec and 15% Merlot, "Les Ailes" is the second wine of Chateau de Mercues. Les Ailes, supple and round, refers to the winged helmet of Mercury, the messenger of the gods and the god of travel. The wine shows complex aromas of red fruits; peppery and spicy notes. Beautiful amplitude in the mouth with soft and velvety tannins.
