The vines for the Henri Bonnerue Beaujolais Blanc are on average 35 years of age and grown is clay-limestone soils. The vineyard is located in the La Chapelle de Guinchay village, South of Macon. The vineyards are Southeast facing with gentle 6 degree slope. Everything is sustainably farmed and follows organic viticultural practices. The yields are extremely limited to bring out the concentration and complexity of the grapes. Whole grape bunches are harvested and undergo a long, cool temperature controlled fermentation. The final wine is then aged for 6 months in stainless steel tank to retain the wines fresh, crisp character.
Tasting notes
The Henri Bonnerue Beaujolais Blanc is crafted from 100% unoaked Chardonnay. It has an attractive bouquet with pear and peach skin scents, and just a hint of nectarine. The palate is well-balanced with nice acidity, it is fresh and lively with a great finish. Delicious!
