Dos Artes Calavera Doble Barrica Añejo 2025 (Limited Edition)
Celebrate artistry and depth.
The 2025 Limited Edition of Dos Artes Calavera Doble Barrica Añejo is a striking marriage of craftsmanship and visual impact. Presented in a beautifully hand-painted calavera (skull-shaped) ceramic decanter, this release is as decorative as it is drinkable.
Production & Aging:
-
Crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the Highlands of Jalisco (Arandas) — ensuring full agave character.
-
Slow-cooked agave, naturally fermented, double-distilled in traditional pot stills (as noted in the product details).
-
Finished with a double-barrel aging regimen — aged for about 28 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels.
-
Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a 1 L size.
Tasting Profile:
-
Appearance: Bright golden hues with warm amber tones from extended barrel maturation.
-
Nose: Initial aromas of roasted agave layered with warm brown sugar, prune, and hints of fig.
-
Palate: Rich and layered — cooked agave sweetness meets dried dark fruits (prune, fig, plum), with oak-derived notes of vanilla, toasted almond, mild spice and subtle caramel. Finish is smooth, warming and lingering.
-
Finish: Long, elegant, and refined — the double barrel aging gives a silky texture and depth beyond many conventional añejos.
