Domaine Chanson’s *Monthélie 1er Cru "Le Clos Gauthey" 2024* (Monthélie, Côte de Beaune) is an estate-sourced Pinot Noir grown on south-facing, steep limestone and clay slopes adjacent to Volnay. Vinified with partial whole-cluster fermentation and aged in French oak barrels, it pours a bright, luminous ruby-violet. The nose opens with expressive aromas of crushed red cherry, wild raspberry, and subtle violet blossoms, underlaid by a hint of forest floor and light toast. The 13.5% ABV palate is medium-bodied, tight, and structured, delivering a core of crisp red currant and stony minerality framed by fine-grained, firm tannins and vibrant acidity, finishing long, linear, and elegantly savory.
