Listed as far back as 1868, Langlet’s vineyards are well situated on a hill of deep gravel, well drained and giving wines of finesse. The Rouge 2020 is a blend of 75% Merlot & 25% Cabernet Sauvignon. It spent 12 months in barrel, 20% of which were new. The 2020 is relatively rich and ripe, with lots of pure cassis fruit, balanced by fine tannins and a touch of Graves austerity. Already drinking well.
