Pomerol has really succeeded in 2017 and one of the top wines is this glamourous La Conseillante which is so alluring. It starts with a very dark and glossy purple colour; has intense, ripe, briar fruit and blueberries aromas and opens up in the mouth to reveal layers of concentrated fruit, elegantly structured tannins and great balance between fruit and spice. This is a vibrant, seamless wine made from a blend of 88% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc which is one of the stars of the 2017 vintage.
