At Las Cases, the team are happy with the Merlots which make up 23% of the blend here and contribute generousity, juiciness and luscious berried fruit to the wine. Round, chocolatey and rich, sweet on the nose, spicy attack, fresh and intense but very approchable, integrated tannins, generous rather than ripe. This is a charming Clos du Marquis Pretty, round and easy to drink.
