PN VZ is an assembly of 100% Pinot Noir, predominantly from the Verzenay cru. It is blended with other villages on the Montage de Reims, such as Aÿ, Bouzy and Tauxières. This is the foundation of the blend but the reserve wines contribute to the wine’s exceptional aromatic intensity, largely thanks to the use of Pinot Noirs aged in magnums for almost 10 years. Its ageing period in the cellar is twice as long as required by appellation. The dosage is 7 grams per litre.
