Barrel SB-240229 represents a rare expression of Angels Envy’s celebrated Port-finished craftsmanship, taken further through extended finishing and single-barrel select character. This bourbon began its life as a 5–6 year old Kentucky straight bourbon, chosen for its naturally rich grain sweetness and depth. On February 11, 2024, it was transferred into a Ruby Port cask and laid to rest in Warehouse CE, where temperature swings and slow-season maturation encouraged deeper oak extraction and wine-soaked complexity.

Over 17 months, the bourbon absorbed the Ruby Port barrel’s influence, developing layers of ripe dark fruit, velvety spice, and warm toasted sugar. The result is an elevated, silky-textured single barrel that balances classic Kentucky character with the wine-kissed elegance of the finishing cask.

Bottled on August 6, 2025 at Cask Strength (110 Proof), this release retains its full natural flavor, offering a rich, lingering finish worthy of slow appreciation.
